The Guild Division Spheres
he Guild is divided into 4 divisions. Each division corresponds to a sphere in Vanguard. These are:

Adventuring
Members whose primary focus is on adventuring. Adventurers level their characters by combat and questing. Other divisions will be dependent on you for protection and aid. Any other sphere would be suitable as a secondary focus for the Adventurer.

Crafting
Members whose primary focus is on crafting. Crafters support the Guild in the best possible gear you can produce at your crafting level. Crafters level by performing Work Orders for their trade from NPC task masters. A good secondary focus for you would be harvesting, but you may also want to do Adventuring.

Harvesting
Members whose primary focus is on harvesting. Your call to fame is to support the Guild Crafters with needed resources that you can obtain at your harvesting level. Most harvesters enjoy Adventuring as their secondary focus.

Diplomacy
Members whose primary focus is on diplomacy. Diplomacy will be a desirable for building guild housing and towns, interacting with NPCs and more. This is a new discipline in a mmorpg and will most likely hold a great deal of political intrigue. Any other sphere would be a good choice for your secondary focus.

ach member who comes into the Guild is invited as a Recruit. Recruits do not belong to any Division. At the time of promotion, a Recruit will declare his choice for which Division he is placed in. Declaring a division is a requirement for a promotion (see below for more info).

Your Primary and Secondary Focus
A member of a Division will have a primary focus and a secondary focus. The primary focus is in alignment with your Division title, and your secondary focus is in alignment with another division. You also declare your secondary focus at the time of your promotion from Recruit to Rank 1. (refer to our Org Chart to see this relationship)

For example: If you declare your Division to be Adventuring, then your primary focus is adventuring. Your secondary focus can be in crafting, harvesting, or diplomacy. In this manner, you can choose your own style of play, yet also be synergized with the rest of the guild.

his is extremely important to understand. In Vanguard, you can not do all things alone. Adventurers are co-dependent on Crafters for gear. Crafters and Diplomats are co-dependent on Harvesters for resources and Adventurers for protection. Each sphere in Vanguard is a division that requires codependency on all other spheres. For Guilds to be successful in Vanguard, the sphere concept must be mirrored in their organization.
